Head Physiotherapist Perth Lynx & Clinical Pilates Instructor
Emma is a highly motivated Physiotherapist who completed her studies at Curtin University. She is current Head Physiotherapist for the Perth Lynx, which she balances with her time in clinic. She has been involved with the East Perth Football Club since 2017, holding the role of Head Physiotherapist for the WAFLW and Colts/ Development programs. Emma enjoys connecting with her patients to understand their goals and interests, and helping them get back to doing what they love.
Emma has particular skills in treating:
- Lower back injury rehabilitation
- Acute or chronic knee and ankle injuries
- Women's Health related issues
- Lower limb muscular injury & prevention
- Paediatric & Adolescent injuries (including growth related injuries)
Currently Emma is completing further studies at Curtin University - Master of Clinical Physiotherapy: Continence and Pelvic Health. She has experience in treating Pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain (lower back/ pelvic girdle pain), stress urinary incontinence, Rectus Abdominis Diastasis (abdominal separation) and various other Pelvic Floor related symptoms. Emma also enjoys working with female athletes, and women looking for guidance when returning to sport and exercise post-pregnancy.
Emma has a strong background in Yoga & Clinical Pilates and utilises these methods throughout her rehabilitation of injury. She is also DMA Clinical Pilates Trained, and runs Movement & Rehab classes at the WA SportsMed clinic.
In her down time Emma enjoys running and strength based training (including yoga!), baking and looking after her many indoor plants.
