A Running Analysis is a comprehensive assessment process to enhance running technique, performance and address injuries or assist with injury prevention. It comprises an initial session 60 minute appointment followed approximately one week later by a further 45 minute appointment.
Analysis involves obtaining a detailed history of running and other sport experience, running goals, injury and medical history and current training loads. Video analysis of running technique is performed through use of a range of movement software programs. A full musculoskeletal screening of strength and flexibility is also completed.
The information obtained is summarized into a report containing the biomechanical and musculoskeletal findings. Recommendations are given for improving running technique, optimizing training and addressing technical and biomechanical issues, including individualized strength and conditioning recommendations.
